The Oktoberfest Ride
Be a fairgrounds all-star in one (or many) of OKTOBERFEST's epic events. Back by popular demand are the classics such as the Keg Toss, Spouse Carrying Race, Sausage Eating Contest, Malt Sack Races and the Stein Holding Struggle plus the return of the Members of Barleyment Homebrew Competition!
Prizes? Oh Yeah! Of course there are prizes. Winners will receive Beau's gift certificates, a cool medal and have their name engraved on the Beau's cup for all of eternity!

The only thing better than drinking a great beer... is drinking a great beer you made youself! Ottawa’s MoB are once again hosting a Homebrew Competition at Oktoberfest. Be sure to stop by the MoB tent to learn more about homebrew and homebrewing! Plus, hear what the experts think about these homebrews, on the Activities Stage Saturday at 12:30.

Hop to the finish line in one of our brewer's malt bags! Prizes for fastest under 10, 10 to adult, and adult competitors.

Ready to stuff your face? Bring your appetite, because the trophy goes to whoever can eat the most Piggy Market 1/4 lb sausages in ten minutes!

Come one, come all to the world-famous Beau's Keg Toss! Last year saw over 100 competitors come to try to out-toss or out-carry fellow Beau’s fans for a crack at the trophy, brewery prizes and of course bragging rights. Categories including height & distance. Open to Men and Women. Come on out and show off to your friends.
When? Fri 5pm (Distance Only) & Sat 2:30pm
A fun event that will truly test your endurance! Competitors will hold out a FULL Beau's beer stein at arm’s length. Last stein standing gets the trophy.
When? Fri 6:00pm & Sat 4:30pm
It's became an instant classic after its inaugural running in 2010. The rules? Competitors race through our obstacle course while carrying their teammate. Persons being carried must wear a helmet. All participants must have fun. Spouses need not be legally married, however, they are encouraged to share in a victory kiss on the winner's platform. The prize? A gift certificate to the brewery equal to the weight of the teammate being carried. Sweet!

The Beau’s Oktoberfest Ride is a 94km ride that begins in Ottawa and finishes at Beau’s Oktoberfest in Vankleek Hill, Ontario. 100 pre-registered riders will saddle up and hit the road, raising money for the United Way as they pedal! Road side support is offered by Kunstadt.
