9 Different Beau's & B-Side Brews on Offer
Lug•Tread Lagered Ale is our award winning, flagship beer. Golden-hued, crisp and finely balanced, Lug•Tread is a tribute to the classic beer of Cologne, Germany. Lug•Tread is top fermented (like an ale) and then cold aged (like a lager) for a lengthy period. This imparts light ale notes that are complemented by a lager-like crispness. Lug•Tread displays interwoven malt and hop flavours, subtle fruit flavours and a crisp, lingering finish.
Märzen is the traditional Oktoberfest style of beer. Our only regularly produced lager, this rich malty beer uses just the right amount of noble hops to balance the Munich malts and features an ultra clean finish to complete the package. Like all our beer, Night•Märzen is brewed with local springwater, organic malts and organic hops.
“This is the Tom Green Beer, it’s not the Green Tom Beer.” Beau’s and Canadian actor and comedian Tom Green have collaborated to create The Tom Green Beer! A milk stout, The Tom Green Beer displays flavours of chocolate and coffee, while delivering a creamy, velvety texture, and finishing with a mild sweetness. The Tom Green Beer pairs best with cheese sandwiches, sausages, and game meats such as moose.
A one-man gypsy brewing company, Kissmeyer Beer creates innovative beers with a distinct personal and unique character, brewed to an exemplary degree of technical quality, inspired by and often brewed in collaboration with world-class brewer friends and colleagues. Kissmeyer Nordic Pale Ale is an imaginative interpretation of the Pale Ale style and features a unique northern-inspired medley of ingredients. Sweet Gale, Yarrow, Dried Heather Flowers, Rose Hips, and Cranberries comprise its balanced fruit-and-herb bouquet, while a Maple-Syrup addition rounds out the complex character of the beer. The Nordic pale ale features intricate herbal nuance, moderate hop presence, pleasant dryness, and a crisp finish.
Smokin’ Banana Peels, see how it feels. Smokin’ Banana Peels features an intense banana aroma, a classic characteristic of a Weissbier, that has been matched with a bacon-like smokiness of a Rauchbier. It’s so mellow (Ya, Ya, Ya). Pouring a shade of mellow yellow, Smokin’ Banana Peels’ flavour mirrors its aroma with a prevalent smoke character from the smoked barley malt that is balanced against notes of banana and clove. The finish is dry, tangy, and zesty. Smokin’ Banana Peels is best in between meals of banana pancakes and bacon.
This rare style was developed in the early 20th century by German brewers as a direct competitor to the popular London Porter. While there are many similarities between the two styles, German Porter is unique because it is brewed with lager yeast and is typically stronger than an English Porter. Two Weeks Notice features aromas of chocolate and coffee, malty sweetness, a medium body with flavours of roasted malt, and a crisp finish with a lingering mocha character.
Roggenbier is a Bavarian rye beer that was quite popular in the medieval era, but fell into obscurity after the use of rye in brewing was outlawed. Glowing a deep copper colour, Mr. Hyde displays vibrant floral aromas and herbal, peppery flavours. Mr. Hyde features an aggressive use of German hops which provides a characteristic bitterness in the flavour and aroma, while rye malt provides a spiciness and earthiness to the beer. Mr. Hydee finishes with a pleasantly dry, lingering bitterness.
Oktobock is Beau’s reinterpretation of the Maibock style, and was created specifically for Oktoberfest. Crisper, hoppier, and slightly more bitter than a traditional bock, Oktobock was designed to be paired with the unpredictable Autumn weather. Oktobock pours a bright orange-gold and features aromas of biscuit, candy sweetness, and spicy hop bitterness. A medium body is complemented by peppery flavour and a pleasant malty sweetness, and the finish is crisp and clean. Oktobock is the perfect Bock for celebrating Oktoberfest.
Available exclusively at Oktoberfest and our Bavarian Brewmasters Brunch, this German “steam beer” is a mildly fruity, session beer has been wet hopped with fresh, locally grown, organic hops from Glengarry. Dampf Punk was brewed in collaboration with Beau’s 2013 summer brewing interns, Eric and Pete.
Made from late harvest and European cider apples, Waupoos Cider is semi-sweet and sparkling. Perfectly balanced, it offers a lively body, full fruity flavours and refreshing finish.
