Get set to roll out the barrels…Once again the fields of the Vankleek Hill fairgrounds will be full of lederhosen, dirndls, green alpine hats and steins. It’s BEAU’S Oktoberfest!!

This year we’re going to put a little more Oomph in our Oompah-pah!

As BEAU’S Signature fundraising event, we expect to raise $20,000 for United Way, Canadian Organic Week & the Vankleek Hill Agricultural Society

Plenty of choice to fill your stein this year…Our award winning tasty flagship beer Lug-Tread Lagered Ale as well as our fall seasonal & Oktoberfest classic Night-Marzen Oktoberfest Lager

New this year to Oktoberfest are 3 unique brews …each created by one of our 3 brewers. Choose from Matt’s Gose, Chris’s Wet Hopped Bohemian Pilsner or Kevin’s Dunkelweissenbock …but get them while you can, these are limited batches & exclusive to Oktoberfest

Also something different to try is barVolo’s Cask Days featuring special cask beers from our Ontario brewery brethren, or learn about how to homebrew with demonstrations from Members of Barleyment.

LIVE ENTERTAINMENT
The hill will be alive with the sound of music ….

Swinging & swaying guaranteed as traditional German Oktoberfest oompah music will be provided throughout the day by Schteev und die Lederhosers. If that doesn’t get you moving, also on hand will be Schuhplatter – a group of 15 Bavarian folk dancers who are sure to get people on their feet

Nights heat up and keep the crowd hopping with music from Luther Wright & the Wrongs, Drag the River, Camp Radio, Chris Rayburn and The Peelers.

ACTIVITIES & CONTESTS
In addition to the hay wagon rides, brewery tours & keg tapping ceremony, new this year will be the crowning of the Oktoberfest Baron & Baroness.

Get set to take part to win prizes– or just watch some fun and outrageous contest such as a Sauerkraut Competition, Sausage Eating contest, Keg Toss competition, Arm Wrestling tournament, Malt Sack races and the unbelievable Spouse Carrying Race.

Some awesome additional events happening in Vankleek Hill during Oktoberfest include “The Art of Beau’s’ and special beer tasting sessions with renowned expert Mirella Amato

KINDERFEST
The kids section of Oktoberfest features fun activities & games for kids including pumpkin painting, face painting, a petting zoo, arts & crafts, paper crafts with Nika Paper Design, a 1000 pounds of playdoh and more.

New this year is the addition of DooDoo the International Clown. DooDoo has been entertaining kids worldwide since 1980, not only performing on stage shows but walking about mingling and clowning around with kids. DooDoo has a reputation for fast balloon animal making and loves to make people laugh. Kids will recognize him from appearances with Daniel Cooke on Treehouse TV, while some parents may remember him as the clown from the Adam Sandler hit movie ‘Billy Madison”
